This is a Pilot-Namiki vest-type fountain pen. It is part of the 1992 iyu-ni-shi (the twelve signs of the zodiac) collection. This pen features a ro-iro-urushi lacquer finish that protects the beautiful Taka-maki-e art work of the tori, or the rooster. This pen also features 22k gold trim and a 18k gold Pilot #10 medium nib. The artwork for this pen was done by legendary maki-e artist Hyakusen Murata. This pen is in excellent condition and is believed to be new old stock. It shows very minor handling wear in the form of very light micro scratches and scuffs. The pen comes in its original box with inkwell.
